Audit Trail

In one sentence

A time-stamped, tamper-resistant record of every action in a system: views, uploads, edits, and permission changes.

The longer version

The audit trail is the record that answers who did what, when. For lenders it is the difference between provable process and a story, and the artifact examiners ask for by name.

A trail that can be exported as a file, not just viewed in a portal, is what turns an exam question into a retrieval.

In Prodeal

Every view, upload, edit, and permission change is logged on the deal and exportable, so the record examiners ask for already exists as a file.
